Description
The 101st Airborne Division is the most famous paratroopers unit that served in World War II. They were nicknamed “screaming eagles” because of the insignia. The 101st Airborne took part in the military operations of D-Day with many drops on strategic objectives behind enemy lines.
The 101st Airborne also took part in Operation Market Garden and especially in the battle of the Ardennes, at the siege of Bastogne, where they strenuously resisted the last counterattack of the German troops.
The Italeri range of kits are manufactured from tough styrene plastic and provide a high level of scale detail.
