Description

The Opel Blitz was the main German truck of the Second World War. It was substantially used on all fronts and in huge numbers. Due to this the Opel Blitz can be considered the “working mule” of Wehrmacht.

Thanks to its sturdy frame, the robust system of rigid axles with leaf springs and the twin-wheels on the back, the Opel Blitz was able to reach a payload over 3 tons. The Opels 3600cc engine was easy to maintain and provided 75hp.

Thanks to its flexibility and its large cargo area, the Opel Blitz was also used to carry anti-aircraft weapons and was used as an ambulance, tanker, mobile workshop and command post.

The Italeri range of kits are manufactured from tough styrene plastic and provide a high level of scale detail.
