FAQ
Frequently asked questions
I don't see an expiry date of a code. How I can define when code period of validity comes to an end?
Usually buddy-codes are valid for 14 days after payment, but sometimes action of buddy-codes comes to an end much more before 14-day term. Possibly, it is caused by that Hobbiking have restrictions on volume of discounts for each goods and if too many buyers use a discount, the buddy-code ceases to operate. That’s why real period of validity isn't known in advance. Discount amounts and prices may change without notice.
RCSearch regularly checks each code on the validity and if any cancelled code detected it is immediately erased from the catalog. Also it is not shown in search results.
Why by search "Hobbyking SS Series" I receive only three results, thus that other services show 26 results?
For several reasons:
- On RCSearch results are grouped in the goods - for convenience of search. If for the same goods there are several codes, they are grouped in one goods that there is no long list, but thus each buddy-code is shown separately in the form of additional green badges «SALE». Therefore at first sight it seems that is found only three results. Actually it is found three goods for which there are actual codes and usually there is several times more codes and all of them are visible.
- If you search on RCSearch "Hobbyking SS Series" to you will be shown only "Hobbyking SS Series", and with search results won't be mixed, for example, "Hobbyking BlueSeries" or other similar results.
- On RCSearch each code is regularly checked (about 1 time a day) on validity. It is known that sometimes codes cease to work before 14-day term, therefore as soon as the code became not valid it is excluded from search. Hence the quantity of results on RCSearch generally will be less than could be officially, but part of really operating codes in the list will be at maximum.
Why it is more convenient to publish buddy-codes on RCSearch than on other services?
First of all when you publish the codes on RCSearch, they are automatically duplicated on popular international services of discounts exchange and you won't need to waste time to do it manually.
Moreover on RCSearch it is necessary to enter buddy-code only (or link with it) and such parameters as the name, usual price and the price with discount and also presumable period of validity are defined automatically.
What for to publish the buddy-codes?
Besides that those, who will use your buddy-codes can buy the goods at a discount, you also simultaneously increase your bonus account by size of this discount.
Whether it is possible for me to receive a discount on my code?
No, Hobbyking gives the reference only on "another's" buddy-codes.
I click links with buddy-codes, but the price is the same as usual - without a discount. What do I do not correctly?
Check up that you have signed in Hobbyking before to pass under links with buddy-codes.
If the discount doesn't work even if you have entered your account that it can be because:
- The goods price at a discount can appear above than the price for your platinum account. Hobbyking chooses the smaller price and consequently you feel that the discount doesn't work.
- Under this link (code) the goods were already bought by too many people and Hobbyking has terminated discount on this code. Try other code for these goods.
How to put into cart more than 3 pcs. of one goods?
There is a quantity limit of 3 when you order an item using buddy code. One buddy code for every order only since the May 2012.
Also this buddy code won't work on your next purchase. If you would like to order the same item feel free to use another buddy code for your next order. In the situation when merchandise has only one buddy code you can ask your relative to order it using their name.
I want to prolong buddy-code validity.
